Electrical
Our inspection of the electrical system is to determine the system type present and that the components present are safe. We will take a picture of the electrical panel for your review. Much of a home’s electrical wiring is not visible. Therefore, the review of the electrical system is limited to elements that are visible at the time of the inspection.
We will review for proper and safe operation/installation of a representative number of lighting fixtures, switches and receptacles.
For inspection purposes, we will remove the cover on the main electrical panel to ensure safe and proper operation of the electrical system, when this can be done safely and without risking damage to the finish. We will not remove electrical covers.
A general electrical inspection will review:
- Main panel
- Service drop
- Branch wiring
- Lights and switches
- Electrical outlets
- Ground fault protection
